Connect Stripe for paid Tickets and payouts
A Stripe connected account lets an organizer receive paid Ticket proceeds for supported Headliner Events. Stripe verifies the organizer and payout destination. Maaya uses the verified account for eligible Events that the same organizer owns.
You can connect Stripe before you need paid Tickets or wait until Maaya asks for it during paid-Ticket setup.
Connect Stripe from your account
Use this path when you want to finish verification in advance:
- Sign in to Maaya.
- Open the account menu.
- Select Payments & payouts.
- Select Connect Stripe.
- Complete the Stripe-hosted business, identity, bank, and tax questions.
- Return to Maaya and refresh the payment status if it has not updated yet.
Maaya does not receive your Stripe password or store the complete identity, bank, or verification documents.
Connect while setting up paid Tickets
Paid Tickets require a Headliner Event. When an eligible organizer starts creating paid Tickets and no connected account is ready, Maaya directs the organizer through the same Stripe setup. After Stripe verification is ready, return to the Event and finish its location, tax handling, Ticket, and publication requirements.
Connecting Stripe does not publish paid Tickets automatically.
Why Stripe asks what you sell
Stripe may ask you to describe the products or services your business sells. For Maaya Ticketing, describe the admission Tickets or Event access you plan to sell. This is part of Stripe's business verification and risk review. It does not mean that you must recreate Maaya's Ticket types, prices, or inventory as separate Stripe products.
Stripe may also request a statement descriptor, support contact, business website or profile, representative details, ownership information, a payout bank account, and acceptance of Stripe terms. The exact questions depend on the organizer and business.
What one connected account unlocks
After the account and Event are ready, supported Headliner Events can:
- Accept paid Ticket Orders through connected Checkout.
- Send organizer proceeds to the payout destination configured in Stripe.
- Keep Maaya platform fees and Stripe processing visible as separate components.
- Use Stripe Tax calculation and collection for supported United States, USD, in-person admission when the organizer has the required active tax registrations.
- Show read-only payment, refund, dispute, and payout evidence in Maaya.
You do not need a separate connected account for every eligible Event you own. Each Event still needs its own Ticketing configuration, performance location, tax handling, terms acceptance, and publication readiness.
Understand the account status
- Setup started means Stripe still needs information or verification.
- Needs attention means Stripe has restricted a capability until a requirement is resolved.
- Ready means Stripe reports that charges and payouts are enabled.
- Disabled means the account cannot currently be used for paid Ticket Checkout.
Open Payments & payouts to continue in Stripe or refresh the status. A newly created account can be restricted while onboarding is incomplete. That does not mean account creation failed.
Organizer responsibilities
The connected organizer remains the seller and tax-liable party. Stripe controls verification, processing, payout timing, payout destination, and provider restrictions. Maaya does not move organizer funds or control the organizer's bank payouts.
Stripe Tax automation does not replace the organizer's responsibility to register where required, file returns, remit tax, maintain business information, or obtain professional tax and legal advice.
If setup cannot start
Stay on Payments & payouts, select Connect Stripe again, and retry. If the problem continues, contact Maaya Support with the time of the attempt and the account email. Do not send bank details, identity documents, passwords, or Stripe credentials to Maaya Support.
