Communications overview

Send operational Event messages to the right audience with clear delivery status.

Maaya sends transactional Event messages for invitations, responses, Tickets, Volunteer activity, schedule changes, and other operational needs.

Email delivery

Sending a message queues delivery. A queued or failed email does not change the underlying Guest, Ticket, Volunteer, or collaborator access. Delivery status shows separately.

SMS availability

SMS controls appear only when the service, approved sender, consent recording, and production feature flag are ready. SMS consent is optional, unchecked, and tied to the saved phone number.

Marketing boundary

Initial Event SMS is operational, not marketing. Organizer notification preferences do not suppress required security, billing, service, or external transactional messages.
